Academic Achievers
Protec has always placed education first, to ensure our boys are suitably qualified to build a career for themselves even if they don't manage to break into the highly competitive world of professional football. Listed below are some of the recent academic achievements of our students.
Adam Moss
Adam has been with Protec from school year 11 and has played in the Protec Elite squads at u16, 17 and 18. He has been an exemplary member of Protec and was made Academy Captain two years running. He achieved excellent GCSE results in Physical Education, English Language, English Literature, Maths, Catering, Science, Geography and French and A-Levels in Physical Education, Psychology, and Geography. Adam is currently studying for a final year in Geography to gain a university place.
Pat Fromant
Pat has spent the past year with Protec and has worked hard to attain AS levels in PE, Geography and Maths Statistics. He has also been on trial with AFC Wimbledon and has played in the Protec Elite u18 squad against Watford and Crystal Palace. He had an outstanding set of A/S-Level results and continues work hard for his final A-Levels this year.
Richard Murray
Richard was a successful trialist with Protec, working hard towards obtaining good GCSE grades in English Language, English Literature, Maths, PE, Drama, Food Technology and Religious Education. He intends to study for A-Levels in PE, Applied ICT and Applied Business Studies.
Matt Hodges
Matt was part of the Protec u16 squad last year and has played in the u18 age group. He also made an appearance as a sub for the senior reserve side at Stevenage Borough against Peterborough last season in the Pontins Professional League. He worked hard on his education and achieved a fine set of GCSE results in Maths, Sport BTEC, Physical Education, History, English, Graphic Products, Additional Science, Core Science, ICT and Religious Studies. Matt is now studying for A-Levels in Maths, History, Phyiscal Education and Applied Science.
Ben Lace
Ben was a regular player in the Protec Elite u16 team last season and played up in the u18 squad. He captained the u16 side on numerous occasions and has worked very hard to attain a great set of GCSE results in Maths, English Literature, English Language, PE, History, Geography, Science, German, IT and RE. He is now studying for A-Levels in PE, ICT, Psychology and Applied Science.
Mitchell Seymour
Mitch has made numerous appearances for our first 11 and has recently been made team captain. He has achieved excellent results at GCSE in English Language, English Literature, Maths, Science, Geography, PE, RE, Business Communications, Business Studies, Citizenship and Art. He is currently studying for A-Levels in Geography, PE, Applied Science and Psychology.
Mitchell Fern
Mitchell was a successful trialist with Protec, working hard towards obtaining good GCSE grades in PE, Maths, FTT, Chemistry, Physics, English, Media, RE and Biology. He is studying for A levels in Physical Education, Biology, Media and English.
Adam Sawyer
Adam trialed and gained a first year place at Protec and has already established himself in our current u18 squad. He has played against Crystal Palace and Watford so far this season. He has worked hard at his GCSE grades in PE, English Literature, Maths, Art and Design, English Language, History, RE, Science, Additional Science and Sports Studies (BTEC). He is now taking A-Levels in Maths, Hitsory, PE, and Psychology.
Johnson Kitete
Johnson is starting his second year at Protec. He featured in the u18 squad last season and has made a great start to his second year by working hard during pre-season to gain a place in the u18 and Elite squad. He achieved an excellent set of GCSE results in year 11 and is now studying for A-Levels in Business Studies and Psychology.
Charlie Crowley
Charlie joined Protec this season and has made numerous appearance in the first eleven squad, playing against Watford and Crystal Palace. He is now studying for A-Levels in Physical Education, Maths, Science and Additional Science.
