FA Coaching awards

 

Protec are now offering in conjunction with 1st 4 sport qualifications and the football association coaching awards levels one and two, both courses will be delivered by qualified F.A. tutors. If you have played or just want to further your coaching qualifications then this is the course for you. The courses are open to men and women who must be over the age of 16.

The course of training will be at one of our accredited centre’s.





Candidates



All candidates will have the benefit and opportunity to coach boys from our academies as part of the course of training.
Help with preparation of coaching sessions.

Support and guidance on hand with portfolio work.
With prearranged development days where mock assessments will be carried out with every individual to give you the best chance of succeeding in this award before the final assessment.




Level (1) Certificate in Coaching Football

Safely organise and supervise football activities including Mini Soccer, Small Sided and conditional games. Promote and establish working relationships and high standards between players, coaches, parents and officials. Understand different aspects of children’s coaching Identify and adapt football activities and sessions for a variety of different age groups. Identify personal development opportunities in football including sports therapy, administration and officiating.

Preparatory course level 2

This course is a one day taster course to designed to help candidates evaluate the level 2 program, it consists of a number of practical sessions that you will be required to undertake at level 2, along with theoretical information to help you with the qualification, this course runs on Thursdays.

Qualification Outline



The knowledge gained from this qualification will enable you to develop a basic understanding of safe, ethical and effective football coaching to young people.

The certificate qualifies you to coach grassroots club teams for children and young people aged 7-16 years under the supervision of a qualified coach, as defined and limited by the Level 1 Practical Syllabus.

The qualification is a stepping stone to work with a junior club and to other vocationally related areas in football including coaching, administration, match officiating and sports therapy.


 

Level (2) Certificate in Coaching Football

(UEFA B Part 1)


This is the natural progression route from coaching level 1 you will have the chance be able to:-

 

  • Coach and train with the academy team gaining valuable coaching hours for your log together with practical and theory sessions, emergency aid and laws of the game.

  • Develop an appreciation of the ethical coaching.

  • Progress plan, conduct and evaluate a series of football coaching sessions.

  • Coach the basic skills and techniques of football.

  • Promote and establish positive working relationships at all levels.

  • Ensure the health and safety of players and others within the coaching environment.

  • Develop greater responsibility for their own learning and development.

  • Promote the sport in a positive and
    constructive manner.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of attack and defence through the use of practices and small sided games.
