Steve Morison who was last seasons Millwall top scorer, started playing football for Enfield Eagles who later changed their name to Whitewebbs Eagles where he was spotted by a local scout and signed to Tottenham Hotspur FC. He was released at 15 and applied for trials at Protec and spent two and a half years honing his skills. Steve is now  leading scorer and a Welsh international.

Ex England manager Terry Venables links up with Protec Academy

 

Terry Venables joins Protec Sport Terry's involvement will provide Protec with the benefit of his unique experience and ideas and will lead to us providing an even better coaching experience for all our players. Pete Edwards Head Coach for Protec Academy said "We are delighted that Terry will be working very closely with us. His involvement and expertise will be a huge asset to the up and coming young talent we have in the academy at the moment and the ones that we are in the process of recruiting for the 2010/11".

NILE RANGER

 

PREMIER League new boys Blackpool have made a loan bid for Newcastle young gun Nile Ranger.

United have fielded scores of enquiries from Championship clubs about the England under-19 forward but the Tangerines are prepared to offer him first team opportunities in the top flight next season if Chris Hughton decides to let him leave.

At Protec, not only are you going to get the best coaching, you will play for Protec associated teams at u18 and 19 this will give all of the players on our full time programme the added benefit of  being able to play against and be seen by professional clubs throughout the season in coached games. Protec has a wealth of experience and has a number of links with clubs ranging from the premier league right through to the football league, and should any club show an interest in a player Protec will organise a trial period with that club.

Warren spent three years at Protec before signing for Barnet FC Inventive, skilful striker who loves to run at defenders. Warren’s good form for Barnet at youth level saw him promoted to the first team squad that won the Football Conference Championship in 2005.
