Protec Sports Accredited Training Course Programme

N V Q and Level 2 Courses




Protec Academy are proud to announce a new and exciting program to add to our existing courses, this course caters for boys aged 16 + who have the necessary desire, will-power and focus to succeed in the game while achieving educational and coaching qualifications.
   

 

The Course

  • You will work towards the N.V.Q level 2 teaching, coaching and instructing football ( 1 year).

  • With the option completing the 1st 4 sport level 1 and level 2 coaching awards, which includes emergency aid and child protection workshop.
  • All of our tutors, coaches and assessors are qualified to ensure that you are given the best guidance to aid your development.

   

  • Our awarding body will certify all successful candidates that achieve on courses.

  • The above qualifications will help widen your career prospects in the sports coaching industry should you decide at a later date that playing football professionally is not for you.

 
























   
   

 

Entry Requirements

  • You must be at least 16 years of age achieve 4 gcse's at grade D or above.

  • Obtain the necessary CRB check

  • Be offered a place as a result of a  successful football trial.

  • Acceptance to year 2 is subject to satisfactory achievement
    and references.

  • You must have a keen interest in coaching.



















 

Program of Study

  • Plan and prepare a series of coaching sessions

  • Maintain an environment in which participants can improve their performance.

  • Full sports training kit and holdall. Course material plus stationery pack.

  • Coach participants to improve their performance.

  • Evaluate coaching sessions and develop personal coaching practice.

 




















Progression


The progression route from this course is onto level 3 sport coaching paid or unpaid work in the football community.




Course Duration

Full time.




Training and Games



Training on this program is mapped out over a five day period with games played on Wednesday during the day and some evenings.

Protec teams represent various institutions and play in some of the best leagues at u17 18 and 19 (see leagues page) and also play regularly against professional sides.

All of our coaches are UEFA qualified and are CRB checked.


Facilities


 You will train and study at our accredited centres in north and south London where we have :-

  • A full size Astroturf floodlit pitch

  • Various grass pitches

  • Changing rooms, shower and locker facilities

Costs if you are U18
  • If you are u18 and have been a permanent resident in the E.U. for the last 3 years course costs are free.
